Mixed feelings abound as we look forward to the final two episodes of Season 3. This two part Season Finale event looks to be an action packed romp set in the middle of the Trandoshan-Wookiee rivalry. The big bonus is that we get to see the return of Chewbacca to the Star Wars universe.
Of course after seeing the previews I can't help but thinking of that great 1994 film starring Ice-T, Surviving the Game.
The Trandoshans look like their personalities may match their appearances, in a word, ugly!
I hope that we see a cameo by Bossk.
It appears that the Trandoshan moon will be called Wasskah. We will also visit Coruscant, and Felucia in the finale.
The second episode currently only has Ahsoka and Chewie listed as appearing characters, but the first episode gives us a bit of a look at the larger cast. Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Plo Koon, Lo-Taren, Garnac, Dar, Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer, will all appear in "Padawan Lost."
Both episodes will be written by Bonnie Mark and directed by Dave Filoni. Mark's most prominent previous writing credits include NYPD Blue, Homicide: Life on the Streets, and Third Watch. Certainly an interesting choice in terms of writer. I think it plays into the more dramatic and adult tone we have seen in the latter half of Season 3.
