Ahsoka Fugitive Arc? Clone Wars Season 5 Speculation

One of the scenes that struck me most from the Clone Wars Season Five trailer is the image of Ahsoka in a travelers cloak making her way through a subway car and the scene ends with her swinging on a hand railing and kicking two individuals who look to be security guards.  Of course this got my spidey-senses tingling.  What do we have here? Let me throw some random speculation on you.

Now so far in TCW I believe the only human police officer we have seen on Coruscant is Lt. Tan Divo.  The other times we have seen beat cops on Coruscant they have been droids.

But if you look at the two individual above that Ahsoka is about to kick, they are wearing a very similar style of gear as to this image of a Coruscant Security Force (CSF) member shown on Wookeepedia.

Looks pretty similar right? Well let me get my detective's magnifying glass again and resort to my old friend Aurebesh.  There are two letters printed on the armored characters backs, peth (p) and dorn (d), or put together PD, which is the common abbreviation for police department.

So this has me thinking that this "subway" car for lack of a better word is either part of the Coruscant Subway system we saw in Episode 24 of the Tartakovsy series, or one of the hovertrain.

Now why would Ahsoka be running from the police?  Well let's assume it is a fugitive scenario, which is a nice hat tip to actor Harrison Ford (Han Solo and Dr. Richard Kimble in The Fugitive). We would then assume that Ahsoka was like Kimble framed for some crime.

So what do I think is going on.  We know the Clone Wars are winding down and Palpatine has his eyes on Anakin as his next apprentice.  So it is time to start pressing the levers in Anakin's life.  I think in another story arc we will be seeing assassination attempts on Padme as it look like Embo has it out for her.  I also think that Palpatine surreptitiously puts out a bounty on Ahsoka Tano.

Ventress decides to take the bounty.

As the Clone Wars drag on, unrest and suspicion of the Clones and the Jedi begin to rise.  Asajj sees her opportunity to flush her quarry out into the open and frames Ahsoka for an attack on an anti-war protest.

"There are some citizens of the Republic who believe the Jedi Order is not what it used to be."~Purple Lady, maybe she is a big Prince fan.

Ahsoka is about to be arrested and she flees knowing that everyone thinks she is responsible for the attack and only she will be able to track down who framed her.

Ahsoka's fleeing from the authorities and search for the real attacker takes her into the Coruscant undercity where she is pursued by police as well as Asajj Ventress. In her hunt for Ahsoka, Ventress also runs into Clone Coruscant security officers (the red clones) who interfere with her tracking her quarry.

So look at the set of images below and think about this as a rough outline of the story.

  • Asajj dispatches clones that are in her way.
  • Asajj attacks Ahsoka from above
  • Asajj and Ahsoka duel #1
  • Ahsoka almost killed by explosion
  • Asajj Moves in for the kill
  • Asajj and Ahsoka duel #2

How does the duel end?  Now that could be interesting. What do you think of my theory?

  1. I think its interesting that from at least the trailers, Ventress cuts the clones weapons not the clones themselves. While that could just be what we saw from the trailer, and the actual episode shows such killing, does it represent a slight change in Ventress? Not killing those she doesn't.

Also, does Obi-Wan just let her go after Season 4? Isn't he meant to arrest her?

    Guess time will tell

    1. Obi-wan was indeed supposed to arrest her, but it seems that his goal is to redeem her. Ventress destroying the clones' DC-15s is great. She's not the blind assassin we saw her as at the beginning of TCW. I think this season or next season would be the best time to kill Ahsoka. Remember, we still need Appo to become Commander. Currently, Ahsoka's commander, Rex is Captain, and Appo is sergient.

    2. Actually, Rex and Appo are Anakin's troopers. Although I agree.

  2. Interesting speculation. I can completely see this happening!

  3. I noticed something: there seems to be two siths. The cloaked sith seems to have a Helmet different from Ventress. lso, weird coincidence: in the last image Ahsoka has no cloak and the attacker has one, but when Ventress has her blades under Ahsoka's throat, Ahsoka seems to have a cloak, and not Ventress. Could there have been two siths, and Ahsoka killed one to take her cloak?

    1. The costumes on the "sith" and ventress seem different too. Ventress has protection on her shin and the cloaked figure has only tight pants on.

    2. It looks like the 2 sith are actually 1 -- Ventress. Probably what happens is that the cloak starts off in Ahsoka's possession but ends up with Ventress, or the other way around.

    3. actually ventress takes ahsoka where ahsoka wants to go and ventress says that she will stop there while ahsoka goes inside the place, then on the way back ventress gets attacked by someone in a hood who takes her mask and sabers and then attacks ahsoka leading her to believe that ventress is attacking her but we don't yet find out who the real murderer is and who is the attacker but I have a fairly good idea who it is and I think it will be a shock if I am right. oh and ahsoka gets her cloak from somewhere else

  4. "Blind assassin" is a point of view. I dislike the fact that they always have to make the Dark Side appear evil when that is NOT the case.

    1. The dark side isn't good. There is some ambiguity about how the jedi aren't always that ethical, and how the siths are often victims as much as they are tyrants, but no matter what, the dark side remains evil, although is often more evil than the one who uses it. Using the dark side is pretty much using the force in a bad way. There can be siths not totally evil, but the ark side itself is.

  5. i think your story is very effective on what has a big chance of happening in the episode

  6. On one pic Ahsoka is wielding 2 sabers and on one she has only 1, and on the clones pic Ventress has one of Ahsokas lightsabers. Got no speculations on this part.

  7. Ahsoka will be killed by Ventress. No Doubt.

    1. Ahsoka has absolutely no basis, thought, or appearance in Episode III, and this show has been going long enough. Ahsoka HAS to die.

    2. Much like how the ghost of a young Anakin was edited into the very end of Episode VI after Episode III came out, so too can Ahsoka be edited into Episode III for a brief moment if Lucas so chooses.

  8. Ahsoka doesn't have to die.

She can leave the jedi or get kicked out for whatever the reason.

If she gets kicked out or leaves what's the point in having to mention her in Revenge Of The Sith?

  9. Something tells me that Embo and Ventress are working together: Embo attempting to assassinate Padme in order to draw Anakin away from Ahsoka while Ventress goes in for the bounty.

Or, Ahsoka accidentally kills an innocent bystander while protecting Padme, Anakin is forced to protect Padme and is thus unable to help Ahsoka as she evades capture and squares off against Ventress.

  10. You might have more support for this speculation, as there is a teaser of these events at the end of this 100 episodes video. http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/01/02/star-wars-the-clone-wars-watch-exclusive-clip-from-100th-episode-video/

  11. When Venterss is attacking the clones you can see ahsoka's lightsabe on her belt

  12. Perhaps Ahsoka leaves the order to join Lux Bontari, because you see what happens between them in the last season, and then a bounty is placed on her head for leaving the order. Ventress takes the bounty, and it ends in a duel.

    1. Interesting possibility, but who would place the bounty on Ahsoka?

    2. I agree, who would care if Ahsoka left the Jedi Order? It's her choice. Unless she left and turned against the Republic.

  13. Interesting speculation, looking forward to seeing what happens.

  15. what if ahoska find the person who set her up. but then jedi master was angry she leave the prison and so she became a bounty hunter and join with ventress. that will awesome. the jedi counsil didnt believe her . i believe her she didn kill that lady letta. i think some one who stronger than the force stronger than Anakin in so many way is palpatine. he in this someway. he strong than force or ventrss. but i dont get this is it ventress she couldnt be in there. but i think she that bonty hunter who trying to kill Ashoka. but i hear rumor ahoska will be in seson six. but she its good. in fact she a bounty hunter.

    1. ahsoka is obviously innocent she would never join the dark side or ventress shes loyal to anakin and the jedi order.

  16. I think that the person trying to frame ahsoka is barris because she is telling barris everything and she told barris she was going to the factory and then all of a sudden someone appears and tries to kill her. at the start I thought it was the chancellor/darth sidious but I am 95% sure that it is female which lead me to barris offee as she knows where ahsoka is going and why she keeps asking where she is but please comment who else you think it could be

  17. I agree it looks like its barris

  18. I'm just now starting watching again but I think that it was the woman in the jail cell when ahsoka was interringating her. (Btw sorry for my spelling.)

  19. Letta (The woman in the cell) died. It couldn't possibly be her...
