SDCC 2011: Cover Preview: Star Wars: Revan

Thursday 7/21 Update:

Starwars.com has posted a high quality version of the Revan final cover art first scene at the Del Rey Star Wars booth at Comic-Con.

Star Wars Books on Facebook has posted an image from Del Rey's Star Wars booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2011.  The crown jewel of the booth is the blown up cover art of the new Old Republic novel by Drew Karpyshyn

I am curious that they have Revan with what looks like a green lightsaber blade.  According to the Wook, it looks like Revan used just about every color blade except green.

Revan wielded a violet-bladed lightsaber when he acquired his trademark helmet on Cathar.[20] By the end of the Mandalorian Wars, however, Revan's lightsaber shined a deep cyan.[5] Upon falling to the dark side of the Force and becoming a Sith Lord, he would change his lightsaber color to crimson.[6] Following his capture, reconstruction and redemption, Revan would once again utilize a blue lightsaber crystal in his fight against Malak and the Sith.[5][35]

  1. Personally, I believe Del Rey specifically plants unrelated lightsabers on their covers to mess with readers. Look at the back cover of Red Harvest, look at Rule of Two, pretty much any EU novel has these incorrect blades. Must be a conspiracy
