Grand Moff Tarkin: Bringing His Foul Stench to The Clone Wars (Episode 3.18 Citadel)

Captain Wilhuff Tarkin, Clone Wars Era
StarWars.com has announced that Wilhuff Tarkin will making an appearance on The Clone Wars.

This is the latest in a trend of including movie characters in the Clone Wars, a trend that hopefully continues with both film and EU characters as long as they do not stray to far from established continuity.

It will be interesting to see who voices Wilhuff Tarkin, as the late great Peter Cushing passed away in 1994.  Stay tuned for more as we find out what Tarkin's role will be in TCW and which actor will be portraying him.  It will be interesting if he does something dramatic that puts him on Chancellor Palpatine's radar as someone to keep an eye on for a role in his New Order.
Princess Leia: Governor Tarkin, I should have expected to find you holding Vader's leash. I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board.
Governor Tarkin
: Charming to the last. You don't know how hard I found it, signing the order to terminate your life.
Princess Leia
: I'm surprised that you had the courage to take the responsibility yourself.
Governor Tarkin
: Princess Leia, before your execution, you will join me at a ceremony that will make this battle station operational. No star system will dare oppose the Emperor now.
Princess Leia
: The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers.

  2. I'm wondering if we'll see Tarkin and Anakin meet. Though all of the Anakin stuff from the trailer for the second half of the season seems to have been in the Mortis trilogy.

I have no doubt that Chewbacca will make an appearance. In my opinion, he seems the most likely next out of all the original trilogy characters to make an appearance.
