Publishing Calendar Updates via EUCast (Solosound.net)

EU Cast hosts Mark and Elyse conducted a tremendous interview with Del Rey Non-fiction Star Wars editor and Senior Production Manager Erich Schoeneweiss that was released on Solosound.net yesterday.  I can't say enough about how great this interview was and how tremendous it was of Mr. Schoeneweiss to give such a behind the scenes look at Star Wars publishing, it also featured Mr. Schoeneweiss sharing responses to question that were given to him by Del Ray Star Wars fiction editor Shelly Shapiro.

THE HIGHLIGHTS:

*Essential Guide to War, moved back in publishing calendar to March of 2012

*Currently planning stages on Essential Guide to the Underworld (authors not yet signed)

*Working on getting J.W. Rinzler to make The Making of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

*Confirmation that while not final, the released cover of the 20th Anniversary Heir to the Empire is the direction they are going, with possibly the original cover art printed on the book itself (see Death Troopers hardcover).

*Erich also went major manufacturing problem that killed the original release of Star Wars: The Complete Vader by Ryder Windham and Peter Vilmur.

*The subject and time period of Paul S. Kemp's Duology (his 4th and 5th SWEU books) have not been decided but it could end up somewhere in The Old Republic Era.

*Erich also answered some listener questions including this websites:
"Have any characters, events or specific time periods been made off limits for Del Ray's authors by Lucasfilm?"

*For complete details and much more listen to the interview at Solosound.net
